Generally the Stewart Island walk is flat terrain, with some boardwalks over swamps. The Waitutu Track is also generally flat although physically more demanding. It can be quite muddy in portions, especially from Port Craig to Wairaurahiri River. THE COMPANY AND GUIDES: The Riverton Rock has combined with the best local operators in a carefully designed itinerary to ensure that you have an enjoyable and educational journey in the wilderness. Our guides are all from the local area and dedicated to your safety and satisfaction. The guide will carry a radio and maintain a regular reporting schedule. PACKAGE INCLUDES: All meals, accommodation, transfers (by road, Jet boat, sea kayak, fishing boat, ferry or water taxi), hut and guiding fees, all camping and cooking equipment and maps. ACCOMMODATION: On the first and last days of our trips you will have twin share accommodation at The Riverton Rock. On the trail we will stay in bush camps with tents and basic facilities.
